Personal Space Design

A personal session with Nina, combining in-depth conversation, art therapy tools and recommendations for designing a space that expresses who you are and supports your healing process

Your space is part of your story

Even in a lovely home, you may want a stronger sense of belonging. An overwhelming corner, a workspace that could use fresh inspiration or a balcony where you would like to spend more time can invite attention.

Nina visits your space, listens to what you are going through and explores what is already there with you. Conversation, optional creative work and shared observation help shape recommendations that connect your inner world with your surroundings.

The approach is personal and intuitive. Colours and style are tailored to your personality, your needs and the space around you.

Nina, art therapy practitioner and graphic designer.

Hello, I’m Nina

I have noticed spaces since childhood: my parents’ home, their garden and the private corner I wanted to feel comfortable and my own. Beauty and space are part of how I feel at home.

I bring together the listening and creativity of art therapy and my visual experience in graphic design. I love fabrics, wallpaper, art and living plants, and how small details can express a whole person.

Alongside recommendations for friends’ and relatives’ homes, I worked at Schechter, a textile shop in Tel Aviv, advising on fabrics and upholstery in relation to the room. In festival production I also created ceremonial spaces and altars.

One corner can make a difference

Focus on a corner, one room or two rooms. Together, we choose a defined space and what matters there now

Home and personal room

For a stronger sense of belonging, privacy, comfort or personal expression

Work corner

When working from home calls for clarity, order and a separation from everyday life

Creative corner

For an inviting place to begin, experiment and make things

Practice room

For a welcoming space that reflects you and the kind of sessions you offer

Resting corner or personal altar

At home or on a balcony, a place to pause, breathe or practise a personal ritual, with plants, art and objects that hold meaning for you

Shared space

For individuals, couples and families, through a conversation that hears everyone who uses the space

What happens during the visit?

A flexible process shaped through conversation, creativity and attention to your needs

01 · Introductory conversation

A short conversation of about 15 minutes to explore the fit, choose the space and arrange the visit. You may send a few photos beforehand

02 · Listening in your space

A first visit of about two hours, including a deep conversation about feelings, needs and what you would like to experience in your space

03 · Creating and observing

If it feels right, one or two activities may include collage, watercolours, a wishes map, a vision board, mandalas or working with words. Participation is always your choice

04 · Personal recommendations

Receive a documented summary and three first steps, tailored to your needs and resources

What can you take away?

A clear, personal list of recommendations in order of priority. Small changes to start with, alongside ideas for later if you wish.

Suggestions may concern colours, fabrics, order, object placement, art, plants, a creative corner, supportive words or a vision board. A personally meaningful object or symbol can also be included.

The intention is to help you find a space that feels more like your own. Nina offers recommendations and reflects what she notices; you choose the suggestions that suit you and put them into practice yourself.

About the visit and implementation

The visit focuses on listening, creativity and recommendations for your space. You carry out the practical changes, including purchases, rearrangements and adjustments.

If planning, renovation or work on plumbing, electrics or other building systems is needed, you choose the professionals and arrange the work directly with them.

The visit draws on Nina’s training and approach described on this page. Any medical or mental health care you need is provided separately by the appropriate professionals.

What does research say about space and design?

Plants can make a measurable difference. In an office experiment, adding plants improved productivity by around 15%.

Your choices matter, too. In experiments, participants who chose how to decorate their workspace completed tasks in up to 32% less time than those in a basic office, and reported greater psychological comfort.

How could your space support calm, a connection with yourself and your healing process?

Begin with a conversation

Tell me about your space and what you would like to feel there. It may be a work corner, a personal room, or a place where you would welcome more calm, inspiration or a sense of belonging.

In a short introductory conversation of about 15 minutes, we can get to know each other. You can tell me what matters to you, and we will explore together whether a visit feels right.

If we decide to meet, we will choose one space and agree on a direction for the visit. I will join you in listening and creativity, and offer personal recommendations.
